PROVIDENCE FIRE SCANNER

Communication Logs

Back to live feed

Along with the upgrades that brought the ability to listen to the Providence Fire feed across multiple player platforms, the ability to record the audio has also come to reality.  In an effort to better utilize disk space, I have used a VOX recording method rather than just recording everything.  The result is a 15 minute file that is active from beginning to end, unlike other "real time" recordings, which have huge dead spaces. To give an example, the very first file recorded covers from 07:53:43 to 09:47:39 on September 20, 2009.  The maintenance of this page is done manually, so please excuse any lags in getting days up and online.  I will keep as much online as possible, and have added an "Fire Scene Recordings Page" that contains audio from interesting events so that those that don't want to listen to everything can can have a more convenient method.

I'm trying a new style of selecting your files.  By clicking on the date in the calendar, you will be brought to my file server, where you will be able to choose the file for the specific time you are looking for.  This is a little less time intensive on my end, and will allow me to keep a longer archive timeline.  You can also click on the month name to be brought to that month's complete folder.
